The Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) warned people of snow, icy spots and fog during the night from Wednesday to Thursday.
In the southeast of the country, there is a chance of snow and locally even some frost or ice spots on Wednesday evening from 20:00. The spots could last until Thursday morning and will mainly be found in Limburg, Antwerp, Flemish Brabant and Brussels.

Additionally, fog is expected in many places throughout the country, which could reduce visibility to less than 200 metres, and may continue for a while on Thursday morning.
Especially in combination with possible ice spots on the road, the RMI is urging drivers to be careful on the road. “During the night, it will clear up in the Ardennes and tomorrow morning also over the whole of Belgium.”
