On Thursday, the Walloon parliament approved a draft decree extending the use of the Covid Safe Ticket (CST) until 15 April.

On Monday, Wallonia’s government confirmed its decision to extend the use of CST in the region for a further three months until 15 April 2022, “in view of the current epidemiological situation and the growing number of contaminations.”

While the majority voted in favour of the text on Thursday, the Christian-democratic cdH party abstained and the far-left PTB party voted against it, calling it an “anti-democratic measure.”

Meanwhile, the Brussels-Capital Region is also looking to extend the use of the CST in the region, as it is due to expire on Friday 15 January.

The extension was already provisionally approved in parliament earlier this week, and will most likely be approved officially in the vote on Friday. This will then also see it extended until mid-April.
