Spa-Francorchamps welcomes endurance motorcycle racing

With a €25 million investment in safety improvements, the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is welcoming the region's return to endurance motorcycle racing.

During the first weekend of June, Fédération International de Motocyclisme (FIM) returns to Belgium for the newly created Spa 24-hour Endurance World Championship Motos, in which motorcyclists will race around the 7-kilometre Spa circuit rolling through the Ardennes.

The race revives the spirit of the 24 Hours de Liège race that last ran in 2001. Also scheduled for the weekend are three support races: the 4 Hours Spa Classic, the FIM Sidecar World Championship and the International Bridgestone Handy Race.
