After a mild, mostly sunny weekend, next week will start off with unstable weather, according to the latest forecast from the Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI).
Monday will see clouds forming in the late morning hours while showers are to be expected in the afternoon. Highs will be around 10°C in upland areas, 13°C to 14°C in the centre and 15°C to 16°C in the southwest, according to the RMI.
On Tuesday, a rainfall zone will mainly affect areas in the south of the country. At sea and in the northwest of the country, the weather should be dry and sunnier. In the centre, there could be isolated showers, while in the southeast, the rains will sometimes be strong. Maximum temperatures will range between 10°C at sea and in Hautes-Fagnes, and 15°C elsewhere.
Cloud conditions will be variable to sometimes heavy on Wednesday, but the weather will remain dry. Highs will be around 11°C or 12°C in the highlands, and 15°C in the centre of the country, with a slight to moderate wind blowing in from the northeast.
The weather will warm up on Thursday, with highs of around 18°C.
Friday will see some high-altitude clouds, while the barometer will drop by a few degrees.
Saturday could well mark the return of the rains from the West, while maximum temperatures are not expected to exceed 14°C in the centre of the country.
