Major house fire breaks out in Wallonia village

A major fire broke out on Saturday morning in a house in the village of Ohain, located about 10 km south of Brussels in Wallonia.

Firefighters from the Braine-l'Alleud and Wavre fire stations were called to intervene at around 6am in a property located along Avenue de Manhattan.

During the call to the emergency services, a witness reported that white smoke was coming from the building. When they arrived at the scene, the rescuers observed that it was completely ablaze.

No casualties have been reported but material damage was significant. The firefighters' intervention ended later on Saturday morning shortly before 8.30 am, according to Belga news agency.
