After being cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the “Open Farm Days” returns to its traditional format on 25-26 June in Wallonia.

This year, the central theme focuses on the relationship between farmers and citizens, “so that both can understand each other better, and live together better”, emphasises the Walloon Agency for the Promotion of Quality Agriculture (APAQW), the organiser of the event.

APAQW recognizes that a farm is a business that can sometimes interfere with the public with things like noise pollution or residual odors etc, but it also notes that citizens sometimes put producers in difficulty, by for example feeding animals, and walking around in the meadows etc.

68 farms will take part in the event this year throughout Wallonia, and open its doors to the public.
