Unlimited access to independent cinemas in Brussels with Cinevillepass

Arthouse cinemas in Brussels are joining forces to attract larger audiences to their theatres. Today, Cinema Les Galeries introduced the Cinevillepass, a monthly subscription that gives unlimited entry to films.

The idea started in the Netherlands in 2009. There are now more than 50,000 subscribers across the country.

The pass has attracted younger viewers and those with a taste for more experimental pieces, and has boosted investment. Cinemas in Brussels hope to achieve the same goal. Vendôme, Cinema Galeries, Palace, Nova, Aventure, cine-flagey and Cinematek are joining forces and rallying behind the Cinevillepass.

A cinema pass can be bought on the Cinevillepass website. The pass has been available in Brussels since the end of June but is now being launched more widely with a larger promotional campaign to accompany.

There are already 800 Cinevillepass subscribers in Brussels; with the new launch, promoters hope to add around 700 new film fans every month.
