TUI fly will divert a number of flights from Amsterdam to Brussels in October, due to a staff shortage that is creating congestion at Schiphol Airport, TUI Nederland announced.

Flights to Tenerife, Kos, Mallorca, Crete and Gambia, which normally operate from Schiphol, will be transferred to Brussels Airport between 10 and 31 October, Piet Demeyere, TUI spokesperson in Belgium, confirmed.

Passengers affected by these changes will be informed as soon as possible, he said.

The flights diverted to Belgium will be operated by TUI fly Belgium or the Estonian airline Smartlynx. The number of flights and passengers affected was not yet known on Monday evening.
