A survey by mobility organisation VAB has shown that four in ten Belgians will be reducing their travel habits next year due to the energy crisis.
VAB questioned over 1,000 Belgians on their travelling habits and if they had planned any changes for 2023, because of the added costs of energy bills.
Their figures revealed that 9% of respondents would not be travelling at all next year, with 36% of prospective travellers choosing to spend less money next year,

The survey also revealed that 32% of travelling respondents have not yet set their holiday budget, where as 28% are sure that their budget will not change for 2023.
Only 3% are of the lucky few who will spend more money on their trip next year, compared to those seeking money-saving measures for next, such as the 20% that are not travelling further than Europe and another 15% choosing to stay in Belgium.
