A teenager died late on Thursday after being stabbed during an argument with another adolescent in Chimay (Hainaut Province), the Charleroi public prosecutor’s office said, confirming a report in L’Avenir.
A suspect has been arrested, according to the divisional prosecutor of Charleroi, Sandrine Vairon
The incident took place late Thursday afternoon. The two teenagers got into an argument near the bus station in Chimay, as a result of which one of them was stabbed and died. The Charleroi public prosecutor’s office was informed of the incident and confirmed that a visit to the scene of the tragedy was planned for Thursday evening.
“The circumstances are still unknown,” Ms. Vairon said. “A communication will take place on Friday.”
A file has been opened to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, she added.
