After nearly 20 years, Northern Irish singer Van Morrison will return to Belgium on 4 and 5 July for two concerts, the Greenhouse Talent tour organiser announced on Tuesday.

The artiste will perform at the Queen Elisabeth Hall in Antwerp and at the Cirque Royal in Brussels.

The year 2023 marks the 58th anniversary of Van Morrison’s rock classic ‘Gloria’ with his Northern Irish band, Them. His first solo single, the timeless ‘Brown Eyed Girl,’ came out in 1967. A year later, with ‘Astral Weeks’, he made one of the best pop records of all time, one of the few albums to be awarded a 10/10 by the music critic’s bible, Pitchfork.

The 77-year-old has remained very active over the past decade, releasing ten albums and collaborating with a long line of diverse artists, including John Lee Hooker, Mose Allison, Gregory Porter, Mavis Staples and Tom Jones. His 44th album ‘Moving On Skiffle’ will be released on 10 March.

The Northern Irishman was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and has received a Brit Award and six Grammy Awards.

Van Morrison will perform on 4 July at the Queen Elisabeth Hall in Antwerp and on 5 July at the Royal Circus in Brussels.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 3 February at 10.00 am via www.greenhousetalent.com.
