Families entitled to a social allowance in the Growth Package will be paid the promised additional premium of €100 per child by the end of next week. A total of 450,000 children are concerned, announced Flemish Minister of Welfare Hilde Crevits.
In order to support the purchasing power of families with a limited income, the Flemish government decided last year to provide a premium of €100 per child in both November 2022 and May 2023 for families entitled to a social supplement in the Growth Package.
In November 2022, the target group still consisted of 385,000 children, but the expansion of the target group has now been expanded to 450,000 children, according to Crevits.

Families entitled to the premium do not have to do anything themselves and an application is not necessary. “The payment is made automatically. By the end of next week they should see the amount in their account,” Crevits explained.
