A one-year-old child died on Friday afternoon in a crèche in Liege, a spokeswoman for the Liege Public Prosecutor’s Office has stated.
A cord for window blinds is thought to have been at the origin of the accident.
The victim was a baby born in late April 2022.
“An investigation is underway,” Catherine Collignon said Sunday, confirming the death of the young victim.
Collignon was speaking to the Belga News Agency on Sunday morning, confirming a report by Sudinfo.
