The last rays of sunshine will be enjoyed on Sunday afternoon before the grey weather will return from Monday onwards, according to the midday forecast by the Royal Meteorological Institute.
The weather will also be noticeably cooler over the next few days with highs ranging from 13 to 17 degrees.
Some sunny spells interspersed with clouds are still expected Sunday afternoon. The weather will remain dry over most areas, although local showers are not excluded, especially in the Ardennes.
The maximum temperatures will be very mild, ranging from 20 to 24 degrees inland, but will remain close to 16 degrees along the coast. The wind will generally be steady from the north to the northeast, and at times is set to be quite strong along the coast.
After a beautiful spring weekend, the week will start with low clouds, mist, or even fog.
On Monday afternoon, clear skies will be possible but the risk of showers, possibly thunderstorms, will increase mainly over the east and southeast of the country. Highs will be around 15 degrees at sea and between 18 and 22 degrees over most other areas.
Tuesday will see clouds again in the morning while clear skies will return over the course of the day from the northwest. Relatively cool highs will range from 13 to 18 degrees with moderate northern winds.
Wednesday will start with sunshine. Afterwards, clouds will appear but the weather is set to remain dry. In the coastal areas, broad sunny spells will persist. Temperatures will be relatively cool with highs of 13 to 17 degrees, under a light to moderate north to northeast wind.
