Due to an error in a software update, train announcements were given in French, Dutch, English and German at many local Belgian stations on Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday morning, passengers reported on Twitter that the issue was affecting Antwerp-Central, Lokeren, Brussels-Midi stations and Namur in particular. Usually, four-language announcements are reserved for international trains.
Infrabel’s ICT department is trying to resolve the problem as quickly as possible and has assured that the error is not affecting train traffic in any way.

“A software update was carried out yesterday evening. There was a bug in the programme, which means that more trains than usual are being announced in four languages. This is not the case everywhere, but in a large proportion of stations,” Thomas Baeken, spokesperson for the rail network operator said.
Baeken assured that the modified announcements would have no impact on rail traffic.
