Belgium’s Minister of Finance, Vincent Van Peteghem, has secured the approval for an amendment to a finance bill that will increase local funding.
This change, approved by the ministerial council on Friday, concerns the percentage of funds allocated to municipalities. Specifically, these towns and cities are projected to receive an additional total of €930 million in 2023.
This considerable increase in funding will provide a significant financial boost to the municipalities across Belgium, allowing for enhancement of local services and infrastructure.
