With over 40% of the Brussels population aged between 16 and 74 in a situation of digital vulnerability, the Brussels-Capital Region has launched a new call for projects that aim to improve the digital skills of Brussels residents.
Many Brussels residents face the difficulties of digital life every day. Activities such as paying bills, registering children for school, and making doctor's appointments are all increasingly done digitally.
The Brussels Region has announced its second call for digitalisation projects under the Digital Accessibility Plan.
"This call for digital projects should make digital technology accessible to all to contribute to better social and economic inclusion. It is a question of digital solidarity," Brussels Minister for Digitalisation Bernard Clerfayt said.
To improve the digital skills of Brussels' residents, Paradigm Brussels is launching its second project under Clerfayt's support, after the MP launched the Digital Accessibility Plan in 2021.
The total budget for the project call is €300,000, and the selected projects will receive financial support ranging from €30,000 to €60,000. The projects must be concrete, immediately implementable and must also promote access to and use of digital tools.
Those who are interested can visit the website before 28 August 2023 and submit their project to Paradigm Brussels, the regional operator for the digital transition and technological innovation.
