A woman driving into Brussels against the flow of traffic was killed and another injured after she crashed into another car at the interchange of the E42 road in the early hours of Tuesday, according to reports.
The accident took place at 1:50 AM on Tuesday at the interchange near Loncin, in which several local and European roads connect.
The 51-year-old woman driving against traffic was killed in the accident and the driver of the other vehicle was left severely injured.
Emergency services arrived at the spot of the accident and spent over an hour attempting to free the passenger on the other vehicle, a woman in her fifties, according to local media.
The road was partially closed down to traffic after the accident but has since been reopened.
