The number of tax returns via Belgium's Tax-on-web portal has reached over two million as the Thursday filing deadline approaches, according to reports.
As of Monday morning at 2:00 AM there had been 2,011,733 returns, 60,038 more than at the same time a year ago.
This represents a growth of 3.1%, despite the increasing number of simplified declaration proposals, from 3,020,000 in 2018 to 3,200,000 in 2019, said Francis Adyns, spokesman of the FPS Finance.
Those who have not yet submitted their tax returns can do so until Thursday 11 July via Tax-on-web. Those who have already submitted their tax returns can still amend them one more time up to and including 11 July, according to FPS.
