The Belgian national holiday this weekend means that several streets and squares in Brussesl will be closed, and Brussels Mobility is telling citizens to use the metro and tram to get around the city.

According to Bruzz, Place Poelaert, Rue de la Régence, Sablon, Place Royale, Coudenberg, Mont des Arts, Rue Ravenstein and parts of Rue Royale and Rue Ducale will be closed to traffic on Sunday from 5:00 until after the celebration has ended.

The Place des Palais will be completely closed from 20-22 of July, and in the areas the parade is being formed — Schuman roundabout, Rue de la Loi, and Rue Lambermont — traffic will be blocked off from 12:30 to 18:00.

As a result, Brussels Mobility is advising travellers to leave their cars at transfer car parks and take the metro or other public transport to the city. STIB will have several bus, tram, and metro lines running until 1:00.
