British MPs voted on Monday to force Boris Johnson’s government to release confidential documents on the impact of a no deal Brexit, a new parliamentary defeat for the Conservative Prime Minister.

The motion was passed by 311 votes, against 302. It also asks the government to disclose exchanges between officials on their controversial plan to suspend Parliament for five weeks from Tuesday.
