Police in Antwerp have arrested eight youths in connection with an armed robbery.
On Saturday night, law enforcement officers were called to a scene by the city's docks of an armed robbery at Verbindingsdok-Westkaai.
A man was attacked by eight youths after which he was robbed. Two friends of the man were also attacked during the incident.
Using cameras, police were able to track down the group of suspects. The faster response team and several intervention teams arrived at the scene. "The suspects split up and tried to flee, but all could be caught," Antwerp police said.
Almost all the suspects are residents of East and West Flanders.
