Children will be in the spotlight when the Red Devils take on Azerbaijan on 19 November as part of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The Belgian Football Association (RBFA) announced on Thursday it will fill one of the stands at the Roi Baudouin stadium with 2,000 children and their families.

"On Sunday 19 November, the youngest generation of Red Devil supporters will take possession of the Roi Baudouin stadium," explained the press release issued by the federation.

Children are invited to send in their drawings for the Red Devils to the RBFA, who will give away 200 tickets to a lucky few and their parents to fill the stand reserved for them.

They will also have access to a dedicated village, with activities organised for them, and 22 lucky people will escort the players onto the pitch. Others will be ball boys, commentators for the day or DJs. The players’ tunnel will be decorated with drawings by young supporters.

Belgium will face Azerbaijan with the aim of finishing among the top seeds for the Euro 2024 draw, which will take place in Hamburg on 2 December. If they win, only Hungary could theoretically dislodge Belgium from the top five group winners.

The latter still play in Bulgaria and at home against Montenegro in November, and will need to pick up 6 points in addition to significantly improving their goal difference, which is worse than that of the Red Devils (+7 against +13).
