The Albert bridge in Neder-Over-Heembeek, located in the northern part of the City of Brussels municipality, will be closed to road traffic all day Wednesday following a car crash.
After a car crashed into concrete blocks on Wednesday morning, the blocks ended up in the way and traffic was unable to pass.
The Brussels police announced in a tweet at around 9:30 AM that the bridge was closed, that there was heavy traffic and to avoid the area.
In another tweet at around 10:30 AM, the Brussels police explained that the bridge would remain closed for the remainder of the day on Wednesday.

The bridge is expected to open again on Thursday.
