The cost of diesel fuel will decrease on Tuesday, the Directorate-General Energy of the FPS Economy announced on Monday.
The price per litre of diesel fuel from Tuesday onwards will be €1.546- a decrease of approximately two cents, the official publisher of maximum prices for petroleum products explained.
Based on this price decrease, 60 litres worth of diesel will cost €1.20 less from Tuesday, than it would have previously, RTBF explains.
The price change is the result of fluctuations in the prices of petroleum products, which includes diesel fuel, in international markets.
This news comes as diesel prices in Belgium continue to be affected by a European directive that obliges member states to increase the share of biofuel in diesel and petrol to 8.5%.
