Spring is on the way, promising a welcome rise in temperatures forecast for next week.
By sunrise on Sunday, the southwest of the country will be heavily overcast, with potential rainfall expected in the coastal areas.
In the Ardennes valleys and the Kempen, pockets of mist may gather. Minimum temperatures fluctuate between 0 and 3° south of the Sambre and Meuse rivers, and between 3 and 6° elsewhere.
Sunday will be predominantly overcast, with rain in the morning spreading gradually from the west and the heart of the country towards the east. The precipitation will generally become showery by the afternoon and early evening, localised heavy rain is possible. The weather will likely clear up by the end of the day along the coast. Maximum temperatures will be a bit warmer, falling between 9 and 15°.
Monday will be heavily overcast, with scattered showers expected over the southeast of the country. Periods of sunshine will develop during the day, though localised showers may occur in the western half of the country later. Maximums will oscillate between 10 and 15°.
Tuesday is expected to be cloudy at times, but largely dry, with a pleasant 16° anticipated in the centre of the country.
Wednesday will see a mix of high and medium-level cloud cover, allowing a degree of sun to shine through while remaining dry. With maximums locally reaching 17°, the weather will be notably mild.
