Team Fouad Ahidar (TFA) announced on Tuesday that former DéFI alderman Mehmet Bilge has joined its ranks ahead of October's local elections in Schaerbeek.
In an interview with Belga New Agency, team leader Fouad Ahidar explained that Bilge will occupy one of the top ten positions on the list for the election in the 'city of donkeys.'
Mehmet Bilge’s inclusion means that the TFA now has two representatives on Schaerbeek’s municipal council. The other is Ange-Raïssa Uzanziga, formerly of the Groen party.
TFA stressed in a statement that Bilge has dedicated many years to his commune, with a particular focus on youth, education and social issues.
