Injured in stabbing in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode

In the Brussels municipality of Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, a stabbing incident on Thursday evening resulted in one person being injured, according to reports from the Brussels fire brigade and the public prosecutor’s office.

The victim is reportedly not in life-threatening condition and, like his assailant, has been taken into custody.

Spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office, Laura Demullier, stated, “A fight broke out between two men around 17:30 on Saint-Lazare Square in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode, resulting in one person sustaining a back injury. Both parties involved have been detained and will be questioned as investigations are underway to determine the exact circumstances.”

The fire brigade confirmed that the injury was inflicted by a sharp object. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance and an emergency medical intervention team.
