Electronic monitoring requested for woman who broke into Jan Jambon's office

The Brussels public prosecutor’s office on Tuesday requested 10 months’ electronic monitoring or a 120-hour work sentence for a woman who broke into the Brussels office of Minister-President of Flanders, Jan Jambon.

On 7 December 2021, M.S., aged 27, took part in a demonstration against the obligation to vaccinate caregivers against Covid-19 in Brussels. At the end of the protest, the defendant entered the Errera hotel, Mr. Jambon’s official residence in the capital.

“I was looking for someone to pull some strings,” she said. “I have been sending emails for years to various bodies about vaccination, solutions relating to epigenetics and neurodynamics as well as Europe’s abuses of African countries.”

The young woman wandered around the building for an hour and a half. She made videos and added a slide to a Power point presentation on a laptop she reportedly had access to. On leaving the hotel, the defendant allegedly pushed the concierge and carried away a flag.

She is being charged with computer fraud, hacking and robbery with violence. The court will rule on 4 October.
