The Taxi Verts service in Brussels is collaborating with Virya Energy to launch the first hydrogen-powered taxi on Friday.
Virya Energy, founded in 2019 by the Colruyt Group, is a renewable energy holding company and has collaborated with Taxi Verts. In a joint statement on Friday, the group announced that the city's first hydrogen-powered taxis will enter into service on Friday.
The joint venture will serve as a pilot project to determine the technical, economic, and social success criteria to see how a bigger fleet of hydrogen taxis could be viable in Brussels.
