All parks in the Brussels region will be closed to visitors as a thunderstorm makes its way into Belgium on Tuesday evening.
Following a mostly hot and dry Tuesday, the Royal Meteorological Institute issued a yellow alert for Wednesday, as the storm, initially announced on Tuesday morning, is now expected to bring in heavy winds and even hail, according to BX1.
As a precautionary measure, the Brussels’ regional environmental authority announced on Twitter that all parks will be shut down from 21:00 on Tuesday.
Vu les orages ⛈️ et les rafales de vent annoncés ce jour?, l'ensemble de nos parcs seront fermés ce mardi à 21h. Une évaluation de la situation sera effectuée demain à 12h afin de décider de maintenir ou non la fermeture. ?

The yellow alert applies to Brussels from 6:00 AM to midnight.
The parks will remain closed through noon on Wednesday when the environmental authorities will assess whether to reopen them again for the rest of the day.
