Surveillance camera footage released to the media captured the moment where the Brussels headquarters of the far-right Vlaams Belang party was smeared in bright red paint, in an act denounced as vandalism by the party's chairman on Tuesday.
The footage, published in local media, shows the reflection of the alleged vandal on the door of the offices. The individual, whose face is hidden, can be seen carrying a large spray paint bottle used to smear the door and entrance of the headquarters.
Vlaams Belang chairman Tom Van Grieken took to Twitter to share images of the smeared offices, calling out the "tolerant left" for yet another act of vandalism against them.
The identity of the person remains unknown, and the party has filed a complaint to the police, according to Het Laatste Nieuws.
