One person has been injured and a street is cordoned-off after an argument led to a shootout in a street in the Brussels municipality of Schaerbeek early on Thursday morning, according to local media reports.
The shootout took place after a bar fight reportedly got out of hand in a café in the municipality's Rue d'Aerschot, in the vicinity of Gare du Nord, at around 7:30 AM, according to Bruzz.
"A fight broke out in a café in Rue d’Aerschot in Schaerbeek," spokesperson for the public prosecutor told BX1. "Shots were fired and one person was slightly injured."
One man was injured in the shootout and was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds, and police have started an investigation.
The street is currently closed between Rue Dupont and Rue de Quatrecht, and ballistics experts are examining the scene.
