Central Station in Brussels was briefly evacuated by police on Wednesday night following reports of an armed person somewhere in the building.
Just before 10:00 PM, police moved in to search the central stairwell of the station after receiving a report.
"We did not take any risks and checked the situation and searched the central stairwell," said spokesperson Olivier Slosse of the Brussels Capital police zone to Bruzz. "At 11.30 pm, we were convinced that there was no danger. The armed person was not found.

As a result of the search, metros were briefly unable to stop at the station.
