While Anderlecht did not wake up to new gunshots on Thursday morning, police searches were carried out at around 05:00 in the morning in the context of the recent spate of shootings in the municipality.
There is no information on possible arrests yet, BX1 reports.
During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the facade of a house was riddled with bullets a few steps from the Clémenceau metro station in Anderlecht; 23 bullet holes and two failed Molotov cocktails, were found on the scene.
On Thursday, however, several media reported that the owner of the house claimed the perpetrators had targeted the wrong house.
An investigation has been opened to see whether the incident was linked between these shots and the other shootings in Anderlecht in recent days.
