All people aged 18 and over living in the Brussels-Capital Region who are eligible for a booster vaccination dose can make an appointment on the Bruvax platform from today.

All eligible Brussels residents aged 18 and over can now reserve their booster dose either via Bruvax (deadlines are currently being adjusted) or via the call centre (02 214 19 19).

This can be done “even before receiving their invitation by post or e-mail,” announced Brussels Health Minister Alain Maron on Twitter. Making an appointment will be possible within a month.

“Full vaccination and applying the basic rules remain essential to protect against severe forms of Covid-19 and its more pathogenic variants,” Maron added.

Following the decision of the Interministerial Health Conference (ICM) on Wednesday evening, those who initially received two doses of an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) will be able to receive their booster dose after just four months instead of six.

The four-month waiting period after AstraZeneca’s vaccine and the two-month wait after Johnson & Johnson’s shot remain unchanged.

When making an appointment, people will have to confirm their eligibility to make sure that the interval between doses is respected.

At the vaccination point, their identity and eligibility will be checked again, which is why people are asked to their identity card, as well as their Covid Safe Ticket (CST) or a vaccination card.
