Prisoner escapes from Erasmus Hospital in Anderlecht

An inmate from the Saint-Gilles prison escaped with the help of an accomplice while being led to the Erasmus hospital in Anderlecht. Police confirmed this incident after it was broadcast by several media. The incident occurred in the area of Brussels-Midi while the inmate was being escorted to the hospital by police. When the officers got out of the vehicle with him, another car drove
towards them. The driver of the car then helped the prisoner to escape. Shots were fired during the escape.
