Pizza Hut robbed in central Brussels: police release pictures of the suspects

Police are still looking for the two individuals who robbed the Pizza Hut restaurant located in front of the Stock Exchange in Brussels on August 1st. At the request of the Brussels public prosecutor, police released pictures of the two men who are in their twenties and of North African origin. The case dates back to August 1st.  Around 10:10PM, two men wearing masks stormed into the Pizza Hut headed towards the manager’s office and forced him to open the safe. The staff and customers of the restaurant realized the situation and hurriedly left the restaurant.

The manager handed over the contents of the safe and fled on foot. A witness saw the the two men remove their masks. The witness’s testimony helped the police compile composite sketches of the thieves.

The first thief is in his twenties, about 175 cm and of medium build. His accomplice is also in his twenties approximately 175 cm with a normal build. Both men are of North African origin.

During their escape, the pair was caught by surveillance cameras behind the Church of St. Catherine and then towards the Quai au Bois à Brûler.
