Work-to-rule action by Brussels airport police this Friday

Passengers at Brussels airport may face chaos on Friday because of a work-to-rule movement by border police protesting the raising of their pension age from 58 to 62 years, reveal several media. "We are not on strike but we will be taking twice as long to carry out safety checks. It will take 2 minutes to process each passenger, instead of one minute", according to union sources.

"A letter from the former Interior Minister Joelle Milquet asked us to be especially vigilant when controlling minors to make sure they are not heading for Syria. This will be a particular concern of ours today", they add.

In view of this situation travellers are advised to reach the airport an hour earlier than originally planned.
