The companies Mobistar and Taxi Verts have continued with their existing partnership to offer free internet in 50 taxis in the Brussels region from the month of November. The offer will be extended to other areas at the end of the first trimester of 2015 if successful, the two firms announced in a joint press release. The 50 vehicles will be the first to benefit from this project in Belgium. “Exclusive to Belgium, this offer will transform taxis into “mobile offices” that will allow passengers to make use of the time spent in the taxi”, add Mobistar and Taxi Verts.
The taxi passengers will have internet access via the Mobistar 4G network, which covers 99% of the capital. A SIM card will be installed in selected vehicles.
This offer will be a continuation of the existing partnership between Mobistar and Taxi Verts, which already lets 1,000 drivers directly exchange data with their Depot.
