Part of line 5 of the Brussels metro disrupted this weekend

During all Saint’s Day (Toussaint) weekend, the metro line 5 will not run between the Pétillon and Hermann-Debroux stations, announced the Brussels Regional Transport Company (Société de Transport Régional Bruxelloix, Stib). Work to increase the metro’s traffic capacity will take place on this part of the line. On the 1st and 2nd of November, the Stib will install new switches between the Delta and Beaulieu stations to increase traffic capacity on the rails to Delta. According to Stib, this is to prepare for the future installation of an automatic metro. The Stib will also make use of this time to install a new platform at the Hankbar station.
All weekend, shuttle buses will provide a service between the stations concerned.
