The police syndicate Sypol will lodge a complaint against Brussels mayor Yvan Mayeur (PS) for Gross negligence this Wednesday, as well as against the police chiefs in charge of security for the national demonstration, during which around a hundred police officers were injured, the Het Laatste Nieuws revealed on Wednesday. “Police officers were taken to task by demonstrators for 40 minutes, while they were calling for reinforcements that were never given”, says the syndicate, according to who “the mayor and police chiefs clearly had responsibilities”. This is why Sypol will lodge a complaint with the Brussels Prosecutor’s Office.
