A mother and her child hit by a tram in Brussels

A woman and her child were hit by a tram on Wednesday morning in the avenue Rogier, in Brussels. They were both taken in hospital and remained conscious during the transport, says Guy Sablon, the Stib spokesman. Tram traffic was interrupted between the Liedts and Meiser stops. The accident happened at around 7.55am. The mother and her child were hit by a line 25 tram in the avenue Rogier. Still conscious, they were taken straight to hospital.

Tram lines 25 and 62 were interrupted for an undetermined period of time between Liedts and Meiser. Two bus services were put in place to replace them.
