Capital of Europe and home to worldwide communities and nationalities, Brussels can be considered like a mini New York. Based on this observation and to reach the widest audience possible, the TTO, in collaboration with Brusselslife, had the idea to create a little Broadway in Ixelles. Once or twice a month, on Tuesdays, Fun, Food & Acting (FFACT) evenings take place at the TTO. The shows are in English and based on entertainment, “good food” and interactivity with and within the audience. The main goal is to gather Brusselians and expats around unifying concepts such as laughter, food and shared experiences.
Each show will have a different genre ranging from humor, politics, through burlesque, magic and improvisation. A highly diversified content offered by international artists to always surprise, entertain and connect inhabitants of a city who don’t always have the opportunity to get to know each other.
This month, TTOC are organizing two events. On 10 March, “Gili The Mentalist” promises lots of humor as Gili takes us through the misty world of phychics and hypnotists. And on 24 March, due to popular demand, TTO are bringing back “Kingdom of Fire and Clay”, a special show about peace which they featured last November. The two main characters are Iranian and Israeli. And despite their countries’ complex political relationship, the two are very close to each other. Together on stage, and surrounded by two live musicians, the show promises lots of laughter and thought provoking.
