Brussels South Charleroi Airport (BSCA) has been hailed the 3rd best low-cost terminal in the world, according to British consultancy firm Skytrax's annual World Airport Awards ranking for 2015. The Charleroi airport has gone up a place since last year. First place went to Kansai (Japan), followed by London Stansted and Charleroi.
In another ranking, Brussels Airport ranks 7th best airport in Western Europe, and 78th place globally (compared to 72nd last year). According to Skytrax, the best overall airport is Changi Airport (Singapore), followed by Incheon (Seoul) and Munich.
Skytrax produces annual airport rankings based on passenger opinion and perception of dozens of services, including check-in, arrivals, transfers, purchases, security, etc ... The survey takes into account the reviews of over 13 million passengers of 112 nationalities in 550 airports worldwide.
