The rise of the terrorist threat to its maximum level has prompted several closures and cancellations this Saturday. Among the locations that have closed, figure the Flemish Parliament, the Natural Science museum and the visitor center to the European Parliament (Parlamentarium).
Other cancellations include the Sound/Check event that was due to take place in Anciennce Belgique and the children festival “zero18” planned on Sunday at Flagey.
Also lower division football games, regional basketball and hockey games have been cancelled. The metro system is closed and the train station in Brussels-Schuman is also closed. Other measures will be announced shortly by the federal and regional governments.
