Terror threat – “Anthrax alert” at Great Mosque: Seven being decontaminated

The seven people present at the Great Mosque of Brussels when several envelopes arrived containing an unidentified white powder on Thursday, are being decontaminated. Pierre Meys, spokesperson for Brussels’ emergency services, says they have no symptom and were taken care of on site by the TAG (anti-gas team).

On Thursday, several envelopes containing a white powder which has not yet been identified arrived by post at the Great Mosque of Brussels, located within the Parc du Cinquantenaire.

The civil protection laboratory sent a team to retrieve the envelopes for analysis and the anthrax protection plan was activated.
