Christmas Parade: three metro stations in Brussels shut from 4.30 on Sunday

Metro stations De Brouckère, Sainte-Catherine and Bourse will be shut to the public from 4.30 on Sunday, for the Christmas parade and for “security reasons”, Stib wrote on its website on Friday.

The stations will be reopened at the end of the parade. The Brussels parade will take place between 6 and 8pm, as part of Winter Pleasures. Stib has advised passengers to use the Central, Anneessens and Rogier stations to get to the capital.

Bus lines going through De Brouckère will also be restricted: lines 29, 66 and 71 will stop at the Central station between 5.30 and 7pm, lines 47 and 88 will stop at Yser between 4.45 and 7pm, and line 86 will stop at Anneessens between 5.30 and 7.30, the company said.
