A quarter of Brussels entrepreneurs not given credit by the banks

A quarter of Brussels entrepreneurs are not able to get credit from their bank, according to an online inquiry presented in advance to Brussels Business Days. The fair will take place at Tour & Taxis from Monday to Thursday.

According to the results of the inquiry, which involved current or future entrepreneurs, 24% of companies have been refused credit. Among the problems brought up are lack of information about subsidies (26%), lack of financial advice (22%) and lack of advice on how to develop their activity (21%).

The aim of Brussels Business Days is to provide concrete solutions for companies during their life. Through interactive workshops, entrepreneurs can talk about the problems they encounter.

“The Brussels government wants to advise and involve companies in debate. The aim is to create dialogue, so companies can explain their needs”, explained the Brussels Economy and Employment Minister Didier Gosuin.
