Several killed in two explosions at Brussels Airport

One of the explosions is believed to have taken place next to the American Airlines check-in desk
Two explosions took place one after the other on Tuesday morning at around 8am at the departure check-in hall. The airport has been shut down and all flights have been put on hold.
Initial reports indicate that one of the explosions took place at the American Airlines departure desk. The Belgian police authorities have confirmed that there have been several fatalities and injuries.
All passengers have been evacuated from the building, and all incoming flights to the airport have been re-routed.
“First there was one explosion. Everyone started to run and panic broke out. The a second explosion was heard”, one witness said.
The airport has been closed down and only emergency services are allowed in.
